Talking Pattern
1.
I have applied the splash technique as the background and overprinted lines made with crayons in order to add additional texture in this work. Such approach adds visual effect and establishes a great contrast between various materials. Besides, I made use of flowery designs to make the overall work lively as well.
2.
I made an image in this work, and next, considered the homework requirements and joined different lines to them. Such approach brings about a noticeable contrast, and even the textures of papers add to a feeling of visual hierarchy. I applied bright colours to the picture in the blank space with highly saturated crayons.
3.
This piece represents the form of petals and very gross colours and lines are used in order to create an accent. I also inserted pure eye and mouth designs to carry out my impression of nature.
4.
This piece of work produced a tree using all sorts of materials which included oil paint pigments, watercolours and acrylics markers.
5.
I applied collage methods to select images, which can be used to represent various fabric textures to form the background in this work. Then I added lines with acrylic markers to enhance the composition.
6.
This painting has its background material as the remains of the workshop printing class. Following the principle of minimizing waste, I used acrylic markers and markers and made such materials fresh by adding the lines.
7.
In this work, I cut out the shapes from the photos I took and layered them. Then I painted the colour and shredded the paper to create the shape of the petals.
8.
The background of this work is a piece of coloured paper stacked on a clean piece of paper. I printed the colour on the clean paper with a spoon and added some lines to add a sense of layering. Finally, I draw eye-catching shapes with markers to enhance the composition.
9.
In this work, I used collage techniques and drew lines with crayons to enhance the visual effect of the composition.
10.
This work also uses collage techniques and adds shapes with acrylic markers to enhance the overall design
Reflection:
Ponderings over the making of “Talking Patterns” A great starting point in the creation of my project “talking patterns” were visits to The Museum of Natural History. The lines and forms I made were certainly inspired by the shapes of flowers and trees that we saw on our visit. I was experimenting in class with what materials and methods different ways of expanding my work, and one that stood out most to me was paper cut print. My teacher star central in ered a assisting me expand the spectrum of my think A uhiris y g. Initially I thought my work could only ever be addressed by traditional painting techniques. It was surprising to realized that there are so much interesting techniques can be incorporated, which makes the entire process very interesting. I’ve learned lots of new techniques that I’m just not familiar with in the last couple months and has gotten me to think of some very creative things. What worked Kind of In the research process, I found different ways to record my thinking and feeling down and it’s not only sketching on the notebook. I experimented with collage and photography to convey my stories and feelings, fusing the two elements together into an expression of a unified artistic narrative. As an art student, these workshops are precious to me, I find out the fact that art is much more than painting. It can show me nuances of life in many ways and I want as much perspective on my creation palate.
