Talking colour

The inspiration for this project came from the cheongsam. During my first week in London, I was sketching the clothing of various people on the subway when I suddenly noticed a woman wearing a red cheongsam in the crowd. She stood out like a rose, and her outfit immediately caught my eye. I sketched her right then.

The next day, I visited vintage stores in London that sell cheongsams, where I observed many different styles and the classic floral patterns found on them, which I also sketched.
